Community Marketing Associates will soon be launching its efforts to spread the word on this overlooked “middle child” of this Southeast Oakland County suburb. Its Community Marketing Program will incorporate newspaper, radio, TV and Internet advertising; strategic editorial placement in newspapers and online publications; the community’s own online lifestyle magazine, Berkley Live; as well as other marketing materials and professional support designed to increase traffic and business.
Berkley is a city of 15,500 people in Oakland County with a downtown district that stretches along 12 Mile Road and Coolidge Highway and also has shops and services along Woodward Avenue, a National Scenic Byways All-American Road. Filled with over 200 distinctive gift shops and boutiques, notable restaurants and bakeries, and professional services, Berkley’s business community has both a small town feel and a kicky and cosmopolitan edge. Its centralized location is a perfect location for annual special events that appeal to young and old as well as hip and traditional crowds such as the Berkley Art Bash and the Berkley Cruisefest.
