The Community Marketing Program is designed for the stakeholders in a city — local businesses, city government, building owners and others — who are interested in the marketing success of that city. Our Community Marketing Program includes:
PUBLIC RELATIONS
Each community will have a public relations coordinator that will spend approximately 20 hours in each community. The public relations coordinator helps cities/DDAs and participating local businesses write and issue press releases and pitch these stories to our established media contacts and cross-promote them through social media and advertising.
YEARLY ADVERTISING PLAN
Each community will have a 12-month advertising plan that includes radio & television commercials as well as newspaper Internet advertisements to promote the business community as well as special and seasonal events. The cooperative membership of a Community Marketing Plan allows us to purchase more advertising at reduced rates plus extend those discounted rates to participating businesses.
COMMUNICATIONS FOCUS GROUP MEETINGS
Monthly communication focus group meetings allow participating businesses to learn about current advertising and public relations efforts, brainstorm ways to enhance their own advertising and marketing plans, inform them of upcoming special events, and learn from guest speakers and industry experts.
ONLINE UPDATES
We’ll keep you updated on the latest information such as media mentions of the community business district and member businesses through our blog and subscription emails. We’ll also have an online magazine for each city that will highlight a new story each day about member businesses, special events, people and life in general. Monthly update emails will consist of a status report, including updated information on the program, a list of press releases prepared, the number of press releases picked up, which media outlet(s) covered each story and dates of each story’s appearance.
CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS
Large corporations with strong ties with our business communities and the people that live in them have opportunities to become corporate partners that can sponsor special events and have a presence on our local online magazine and emails.
